Our weekend

Donnie's parents came into town Saturday morning and spent the weekend with us. We grilled steaks for our two families and our friends the Kendricks on Saturday night. Donnie did a great job on the steaks, and my mom was sweet enough to bring a chocolate cake with white icing. Yum!

Sunday, we split up and Donnie and his dad went shopping while Rhett, Gran, and I went to Babies 'R Us and Carters. Thanks again for all of the stuff, Gran!

Here's a pic from when Donnie's parents first got into town...
Rhett loves Grandpa's silly faces...
Playing with his exersaucer. He finally does more than just sit there and look at the toys!

Watching cartoons with Grandpa. You can barely get the kid to eat if the TV is on. He's such a TV addict! :)
Snuggling with Gran. I love how they're looking at each other!
Donnie's parents bought us a high chair during our shopping and Rhett gave it a try...

Smiling for Gran and Grandpa. He says, "Thanks again for the high chair!".
After Donnie's parents had to leave, Rhett and I went out to the front yard and played. Side note: I bought this onesie when I first found out Rhett was going to be a boy. It's a 6-month onesie, but I could barely get it over Rhett's cheeks and belly. So, this may be the first and last time he gets to wear it!

I think I've mentioned this before, but Donnie's Aunt Di made Rhett this quilt before he was born. It has cowboys and horses all over it and is absolutely adorable. As you can see in the picture below, Rhett loves to stare at the characters on the quilt. Aunt Di, thanks again for the quilt. We use it almost every day!
Another tummy shot. The weather was perfect! Not too sunny but there was a great breeze. Rhett really enjoyed it, and we'll definitely do this more as the weather improves.
After we played outside, Donnie gave Rhett a bath to start winding him down. The Daylight savings stuff has definitely shifted his schedule, so we tried to get him to bed at his "normal" time (which is one hour earlier than usual because of the shift). It worked out great and Rhett went to bed without a fuss, although I attribute that to his easy disposition and not to our parenting skills :)

It was a wonderful weekend filled with great weather, family, and friends. We are so lucky.
