Florida Trip-Part I

Rhett and I left Dallas at 8:15 Sunday morning, via American Airlines. Donnie was unable to come because he had mandatory classes to attend, but he was sweet enough to get a special pass to walk us to our gate. That was a huge help because I wasn't sure how I could get through security with Rhett, all of our bags, and his stroller.

We made the mistake of having Donnie walk through the metal detector with Rhett. I forgot that he ALWAYS gets stopped by something in his pockets, so he had to go through a couple times while lugging Rhett and his stroller. We got through in plenty of time for McDonalds and then make our flight.

The direct flights to Ft. Walton Beach are on American Eagle's miniature planes. We were in Row 16, which was the very last row. Yeah, tiny plane...

The flight was thankfully uneventful. Rhett wanted to stand and pull on the chair in front of him, but there was a little boy in that seat who didn't mind too much. Luckily, I was able to get Rhett to sleep and we both napped the rest of the flight.

Here are a few pics from our first few days.

First day on the beach. He loved sitting under the umbrella and watching the waves. He also didn't mind getting cheerios and puffs fed to him while laying on mommy.

First time in the water. It was pretty cold!

A pic of the water from our Beach camp. With our family and the Brunner's (family friends), we have 10 big umbrellas with 2 chairs each, for a total of 20 chairs.
Parker playing in the sand.

A pic from the pool L to R-Rhett, Jenn, Jordan (in the floatie), Mason, Hudson, Krista, and Chris

Chris and Hudson...

Rhett and Parker on the porch in their matching swimsuits...
Funny faces...

Lounging with Grammy after a long day of beach and pool fun..

We're having a wonderful time and it's great to see all of the cousins play together. More pics to come!
