Catching up

Well, I know I've been awful at blogging lately, but we're in the process of selling our house and moving to north DFW. Now that Rhett and his toys are getting bigger, we've realized that we're going to run out of room eventually, and we want to stay ahead of that curve.

So, we have begun building a house and put our house on the market. Good news: the first couple that saw our old house put an offer on it and want to move in now. Bad news: our new house won't be ready until December/January, so the Bassham kids are moving into an apartment. It's not a bad problem to have, but we have A LOT of furniture/people/dogs to put in a small apartment. We've decided it will be like camping, and I'm sure you'll see lots of pictures of the adventure. :)

Pictures from Gran's visit. She was nice enough to come watch Rhett while we packed our house in preparation for the move. She discovered that Rhett LOVES sitting in moving boxes. He can pull up on them. move all around, and even store his toys. Here's a pic of him watching birds from his bedroom window. Gran said he sat there for 30 minutes, just watching them...

And a really sweet pic of our family. We don't get a lot of pictures of all 3 of us since once of us is usually taking the picture, but Gran took this pic of us reading to Rhett before bedtime.


Random pictures of Rhett cramming food in his mouth and laughing about it. I posted a picture from him eating 5 months ago, so you can see how he's grown.

I have such good memories of this house. It's the first house we bought after we got married, it's the first house we brought Rhett home to, but I know we'll make a home wherever we go. Stay tuned for pics of the new apartment!
