Things he does now:
- He has started clapping when you cheer for him
- He signs "more" which should mean he wants more food, but I don't think he knows that yet
- He's crawling up on all fours now instead of just army-crawling
- He's JUST about ready to walk. He'll walk holding just one of your fingers and you can tell he wants to take that first unassisted step.
- He's eating lots of new foods at his new school-steak fingers, corny dogs, scrambled eggs (not a fan), pancakes, and tons of new fruits/veggies. With the pediatrician's ok, we've started feeding him more and more table foods and he seems to love everything. His favorites? Cheese and black olives. Who knew? :)
- He laughs every time I get terse with Jasmine (when she yanks on the leash, when she eats a bag of trash, etc.). It's pretty funny
- He likes when you say the phrase, "My dogs are BARKING" as you refer to your tired feet (this is a Donnie phrase, not mine). He will cackle every time :)
- He hates getting his diaper changed because it means he has to sit still. I've started giving him random things to play with (a water bottle, a hanger, etc) which seems to help, but most days it's a battle!
- He has started to not like his carseat either. He will arch his back and try to stand while you buckle him in. I'm sure my mother is reading this and thinking that I'm finally getting paid back for being a difficult child. :)
Here's his monthly shot. I got one good shot, but I thought I would include some outtakes as well, so you can see how active our little guy is :)
Daddy trying to reason with him to sit still long enough for a picture...
I like the next one, because I think he's karate chopping me. He thought taking pictures was the most fun game ever! He never realized that meant he had to sit still :)
